To increase the number of charge/discharge cycles of the lead-acid 4D battery, its DOD should be kept around 50%
When lead-acid batteries are pushed down to 80-100% DoD, the number of charge/discharge cycles will reduced to 200-400 cycles.
On the other hand, when LiFePO4 cells are discharged to 80-100% DoD, the cycle life have no influence. The lithium 4D battery support 4000 cycles lifespan.
So the DOD and cycle life is a huge difference between both.
Lithium batteries weigh only one-third of lead-acid batteries.
Battery Safety Features
As we all know, the lead-acid batteries are made up of two high-risk chemicals- sulphuric acid and lead. They could cause a safety hazard for operation people. There is a risk of sulphuric acid contacting skin, and eyes of those performing the maintenance procedure.
