What are lithium ion battery?

Lithium ion batteries are a type of rechargeable battery commonly use in electric vehicle, electronic, power tools etc. To generate energy, lithium ions move from the negative electrode through the electrolyte to the positive electrode. This process generates energy to power the appliance. Thus, we called this batteries as lithium ion batteries.

How does lithium ion battery work?

While the battery is discharging and providing an electric current, the anode releases lithium ions to the cathode, generating a flow of electrons from one side to the other.

When plugging in the device, the opposite happens: Lithium ions are released by the cathode and received by the anode.

How long does lithium ion battery last?

On average, conventional lithium-ion batteries have around 1,000 reliable and trouble-free uses, regardless of the warranty period. The lifespan is approximately three years (36 months). Depending on the ambient temperature, the frequency of use, and the charge and discharge rate of the battery used, the lifespan varies. What is the cost of a lithium ion battery?
