What is 4680 battery?
The 4680 battery is a cylindrical lithium ion battery with a diameter of 46 mm and a height of 80 mm. It was first designed by Tesla for commercial electric cars(Model Y). On the other hand, the volume of the 4680 cells is 5.7 times that of a 2170 lithium battery. The biggest advantage of the new Tesla 4680 battery is that it can produce more battery energy capacity with less raw materials in general. As can be seen, the total battery cost may be reduced to half cost of the 21700 battery with the gradual expansion of mass production.
What is 4695 battery?
Like the 4680 battery, the diameter of the 4695 is 46 mm, but there is a difference in height, the height of the 4695 battery is 95 mm. It also belong to NCM lithium ion battery. Specially designed for EVs application.
